Dr. Norman Leo Betz1/23/38 "“ 5/23/15A great man of faith entered eternal life on May 23. Norman served in the U.S. Army and received his PhD in food science and technology from LSU. He was an entrepreneur; an inventor with 14 US patents to his credit. Norman held various corporate positions, owned his own companies and served as a consultant throughout his career. He was an incredible leader, husband and father who will always remain in our hearts. Norman leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Betty Jane (Jarreau); five children, Stephanie, Sherrel, Sondra, Norman and Sharise; as well as 18 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 2 sisters who are all proud to carry on his legacy. Services will be held Friday, May 29 at Immaculate Conception Church in Lakeland. Visitation from 9:00-11:00am, Mass at 11:00am with a luncheon immediately following.
