Orus Ross Stephens

"Orus Ross Stephens A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on February 12, 2019 at 10 am, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, LA, for Orus Ross Stephens, Jr., who passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. Visitation will be held Monday, February 11, 2019 from 5-8 pm at Rabenhorst Funeral Home 825 Government Street and also preceding the funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mercy Church from 9-10 am. Dr. Stephens was born March 31, 1945, in Alexandria, LA, to the late Orus Ross Stephens, Sr., and Alice Neilson Stephens. He is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Catherine Reitz Stephens; his children, Jonathan and his wife Claire Ellen Stephens, Claire and her husband Ryan Engquist, and Leslie Stephens; his six grandchildren, Jonathan, Kathryn and Charlotte Stephens; Thomas, Alice and Avery Engquist; and his sister Stephanie Stephens Doran (Edward).  Dr. Stephens earned both his undergraduate and his DDS degrees from LSU.  He operated a dental practice in Baton Rouge for over forty years.
