An employee of the Louisiana Department of Labor, she passed away peacefully and unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010. She was 59 and a resident of Baton Rouge. She was a devoted sister, aunt, godmother and friend. She enjoyed being with friends and family and was always willing to help others. Survived by her four sisters and their husbands, Phyllis and Chuck Entremont Jr., Betty and Carol Lyons, Mary Ellen "Mimi" and Keith Paxton, and Denise and Michael Cole, all of Baton Rouge; two nieces, Brittany Cole LeBlanc and godchild Emily Renee Cole; nephews, Wade, Scottie and Curt Lyons, godson Craig Lyons, and Chuckie and Joey Entremont. Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph E. Mire Jr. and Elizabeth Melancon Mire; and special angel, Steven Daniel Whiddon. Pallbearers will be her nephews, great-nephew, Justin Entremont, and Clay LeBlanc and Bernie Melancon.
