Patricia Hare Pizer

We are sorry to announce that Patricia Hare Pizer passed away on Sunday October 20,2024 due to complications after knee replacement surgery. She was born on April 2, 1946 in Chicago. She had lived in Baton Rouge from 1991 up to her death. She was a Licensed Professional Counselor and Marriage and Family Therapist who provided devoted and compassionate care to her clients. She was the devoted wife of John Pizer and loving mother to daughter Jasmin. She was also a caring mother-in-law to Zachary Coxe, sister to Katherine Christensen, Cynthia Blye,Steve Hare, and Rob Hare,and their families, who all live on the West Coast. She is also survived by a wide circle of friends whose lives she enriched.

Throughout her career, which began in Seattle, Washington, Patricia was deeply committed to helping her clients navigate some of the most challenging moments in their lives, offering guidance with compassion and wisdom. As a member of the Louisiana Counseling Association and a founding board member of the C. G Jung Society of Baton Rouge, she was an active participant in the professional and spiritual community she held dear.

Patricia was known for her warmth, dependability and unwavering commitment to those she loved and served. She was passionate about many things in life, including her love for the Pacific Northwest as well as travelling and exploring the world with her husband. She enjoyed reading the poetry of Rumi, which spoke to her heart and soul, and studying the works of Carl Jung, whose insights into the human psyche greatly influenced her world view and professional practice. An artist at heart, Patricia also loved paintings and jewelry. Above all, she treasured the time she spent with her family and friends, finding happiness in the simple moments shared with her loved ones.

Patricia will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
