A selfless and caring wife, mother and friend, Paulette passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on Monday January 17, 2022, surrounded by her children and the love of her life, John. Paulette was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, but spent her adult life with her husband, children and friends in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Paulette’s calming presence and words of wisdom granted peace to all she had met. Her contagious kindness and child-like spirit inspired everyone she met to be the best version of themselves. She only knew how to love unconditionally, and everyone was able to bask in her sunshine.
She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Roser. She is survived by her husband John Pecaut, son Robert Pecaut and wife Karina, daughter Meghan Pecaut and fiance Thomas Gandy, her mother Louise Roser, three loving siblings, and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family wishes to express gratitude to her devoted medical team at Ochsner Cancer Center of Baton Rouge.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Paulette’s name to any charity of your choice or her home church, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 8833 Goodwood Blvd., Baton Rouge, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m.
