She was a loving mother, a homemaker, a native of Tylertown, Miss., and a resident of Zachary. Phyllis died Thursday, July 21, 2011, at West Feliciana Parish Hospital in St. Francisville. She was 71. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, July 24, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home on Monday from 9 a.m. until the religious service in the chapel at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Scott Hornsby. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by a daughter, Melissa N. Stewart and husband Steven O.; son, Ronnie Nielsen and wife Angie; and five grandchildren, Lauren Taylor Stewart, Ashton Lee Stewart, Victoria Angell Nielsen, Madeline Kelly Nielsen and Andrew Gregory Nielsen. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Svend Ronald "Ron" Nielsen; daughter, Lauren Melinda Nielsen; brother, Frank Lee Jr.; parents, Frank and Hortense Lee. Pallbearers will be John David Stewart, Bryan Hodges, Kenny Lee Jr., Frank Lee and Kenny Lee. She was a member of Fellowship Church.
