Primas was born September 18, 1932, to Aaron Lee Jagers and Lena Caston Jagers. He was a retired teacher of the New Orleans Public School System with 35 years of service and proudly served three years in the US Army. He was an usher at St. Jude Apostle Catholic Church, member of the Knights of Columbus Council 9692, member of the Retired Teachers Association, and President of the 3J’s Family Reunion (Jagers, Johnson, Jones).
Primas leaves to cherish his wife of 53 years, Marian Jagers; sons, Kenneth of Jackson, MS, Primas, Jr of LaPlace, LA; daughters, Sharon (Mark) Major of New Orleans, LA, Ceta Jagers of LaPlace, LA, Nicole Jagers of Baton Rouge, LA, and Melissa Jagers of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren, Kaiser, Kei’ana, Keith II (Wei Yee Soh), Kendra, Ceta (Tyrone), and Hunter; five (5) great-grandchildren and two (2) great-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Carol J. Jagers of Washington, D.C; and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron Lee Jagers and Lena Caston Jagers; daughter, Renee Yevette Jagers Johnson; and siblings, Lola Jagers Miller, Elsa Lena Jagers, Lois Jagers, Leroy Jagers, Hattie Jagers Moore, Dixie Jagers Moore, Helen Jagers Tucker, K.C. Jagers, Samuel Jagers, Essie Rae Jagers Robinson, Doris Jagers Hunt, Connor Roy Jagers.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on August 31, 2024, at 11 am (visitation from 9am-11am) at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 9150 Highland Rd. Baton Rouge, LA 70810. Interment will be September 3, 2024, at 1pm at Louisiana National Cemetery, 303 W. Mt Pleasant Zachary Rd., Zachary, LA 70791.
