Priscilla Reed Savoy

Priscilla Reed Savoy, 60, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013 at her home in Baton Rouge. She was born August 27, 1952, in Eunice, where she lived until she moved to Baton Rouge in 1970. She is survived by her 3 children, her son Brennen Savoy; her 2 daughters Ashley Savoy Andermann and husband Stefan Andermann, Stacy Savoy Hoggatt and husband Jason Hoggatt; her 5 grandchildren Hunter Kade Savoy, Christian Savoy, Benjamin Savoy, Jordan Hoggatt, and Jackson Hoggatt; Mother-in-law Pat Savoy; her brother Harold Reed; 3 sisters Melinda Shuman, Celeste Stagg, and Claire Hart. Preceded in death by her husband Russell J. Savoy; her parents Harold Reed and Verna Reed; her brother Donald Reed. Pris was the Owner/Broker of R.J. Savoy and Associates Real Estate Co. She was involved in real-estate for 20 years in the Greater Baton Rouge area. During her lifetime Pris was involved in many civic organizations in the surrounding areas and was also active in the Girl Scouts. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Pris's life was devoted to her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed and forever remembered. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street, from 5pm-8pm Tuesday, July 9 with a rosary at 7pm. Visitation resumes at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 10, from 8am-10am. Funeral Mass at 10:30 am Wednesday at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 445 Marquette Ave. Our family would like to thank her doctors and nurses at Woman's Hospital and MD Anderson for the amazing care they provided our mother. Also we would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice for the love and tenderness they showed our mother at the end of her life journey.
