II Timothy, 4:6-8. Born in Ethel on March 5, 1919, Randolph departed this life on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, at 3:20 a.m. after being homebound with a lengthy illness. He was 88 and a resident of Watson. He was a World War II veteran, having fought in the Philippines and served in occupational duty in Japan under Gen. Douglas MacArthur. After 40 years of service, he retired from Exxon on March 2, 1982. Randolph is survived by his wife of more than 66 years, Ruth Helen Shelton Hall, of Watson; two sons, Gerald Wayne Hall Sr. and wife Patsy, of Baton Rouge, and Gaylen Russell Hall and wife Sherilyn, of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; and a daughter, Deborah Hall Dodd and husband Ronnie, of Kingwood, Texas. His 10 grandchildren include Jeffery Wayne Hall, of New Orleans, Kimberly Ann Hall-Aydell, of Zachary, Gerald Wayne Hall Jr., of Baker, Vicki Lynn Hall, of Baton Rouge, Brian Keith Hall, of Greenwell Springs, Brandon Daryl Hall, of Destin, Fla., Amanda Lee Hall, of Gulf Breeze, and Jimmy Borne, Meghan Leigh Dodd and Kathryn Lyn Dodd, all of Kingwood. He also had 13 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren, Robbie Rhodus, of Denham Springs, and Burton Evans, of Baton Rouge; and four stepgreat-grandchildren. Friends were invited to visit with the family at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Thursday, Oct. 18, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation will resume at First Pentecostal Church, 2828 Jones Creek Road, on Friday from 11 a.m. until funeral service at 2 p.m., conducted by Brother Dan Davis, pastor. Burial in Roselawn Cemetery. Pallbearers include his grandsons, Jeffery Hall, Gerald Hall Jr., Brian Hall, Brandon Hall, Jimmy Borne and Robbie Rhodus. Honorary pallbearers are his great-grandsons, Chase and Kyle Hall. Randolph was preceded in death by his beloved son, Randolph "Randy" Wilson Hall Jr.; a grandson, Jason Ashley Hall; father, Joel Hall; mother, Mary Hemphill Hall; and his brothers and sisters.
