"The man is a success who has lived well, loved much and laughed often." Raymond Otto McKee passed away peacefully at his home on December 24, 2022. Born April 16, 1945, Raymond grew up in Woodville, MS. He graduated in 1963 from Woodville High School and attended Louisiana State University, where he was a member of Sigma Nu. After graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi he returned to Baton Rouge and began working at Gilhe's. It was here that he would make many of the friends he kept until the end of his life. On a blind date arranged by dear friends he met his future wife, Mary K Munson. During more than 43 years of marriage they raised their daughter Sarah Butler and then welcomed wonderful grandchildren. They traveled, laughed and just enjoyed life together. Raymond was known for his quick wit, debonair style and his famous milk punch. He loved LSU football, the Boston Red Sox and a roast beef po-boy. In his spare time, he could be found playing golf or in the 19th hole with his beloved Courvoisier Tour. Raymond had no acquaintances, only friends that, like his family, he loved dearly. Raymond was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, The Baton Rouge Assembly, Alexians and The New Orleans Caterpillar Club. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond Otto McKee and Mr. and Mrs. Dorsey Trevillion as well as his brother Harry Trevillion. He is survived by his wife, Mary K McKee, daughter Sarah McKee Pipsair (Chris), grandchildren Grace, Will and Beau Pipsair, brothers Eric Trevillion, Mark Trevillion and sister Melanie Trevillion Poole. A celebration of life will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 763 North Blvd., Baton Rouge, Friday, December 30 at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Honorary pallbearers will be John Boston, Bill Davis, Omer Davis, Greg Eaton, Bill O'Quin, Walker McVea, Randy Rice, Tim Roniger, Bobby Thomas, and Tom Willingham. The family would like to thank Carrie Fisher and Trilby Mitchell for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to First Presbyterian Church or Heritage Ranch.
