Robert F. Cope Jr.

A loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away Friday, March 28, 2014, at the age of 74. He was born in North Carolina and has resided in Louisiana for 52 years. He was a veteran with the US Navy and was a member of Andrew Jackson Masonic Lodge #428 in Arabi, LA. He was a member of the Broadmoor United Methodist Church and a Certified Industrial Hygienist. He retired from Ethyl Corporation after 30 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jane Palermo Cope; daughter, Kelly Cope Coburn and husband, Edward; son, Robert F. Cope III and wife, Rachelle; four grandchildren, Matthew Cope, Allen Coburn, Madeleine Cope, and Eric Coburn; four sisters, Jean Miskelly, Judy Bridges, Emily Simmons, Rachael Pruitt; three brothers, Ken Cope, Norman Cope, and Davy Cope. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert F. Cope Sr. and Iona Bookout Cope; sister, Faye Cope; and brother, Jack Cope. Visitation will be held at Broadmoor United Methodist Church on Monday, March 31, 2014, from 9 AM until funeral service at 11 AM conducted by Rev. Ken Carroll. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Donations can be made to St. Joseph's Hospice or Broadmoor United Methodist Church in Bob's name.
