
Robert "Bob" A. Hill, of Holiday Island, Ark., died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011. He was born July 26, 1930, in Baton Rouge. Bob is survived by his wife, Dorothy Patton Hill; son, Donald Allen Hill, of Austin, Texas; and daughter, Karen Lynn Hill Hutto and husband Kenny Hutto, of Fort Myers, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen Francis and Della Brignac Hill; and sister, Dorothy Lucille Kennedy. Bob served in the Air Force Drum Corps during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Eureka Springs, Ark. His love for music was evident in his Air Force Drum Corps, his cantering at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, his participation in the Holiday Island Community Church Choir and his participation as tenor in the Delta Dealers Barbershop Quartet. Bob also played drums for various dance bands in the Baton Rouge area. He was a retired draftsman in the petrochemical industry. A memorial service will be held at St. Joseph Cathedral in Baton Rouge on Monday, Dec. 12, at 10 a.m. Visitation to be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the cathedral. Interment will be at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Patient's Choice Hospice, 2 Parkcliff Drive, Holiday Island, AR 72631.
