Rosa Martin passed away Thursday, April 5, 2007, at age 92. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wm. Woodrow Martin. For those of us who had the privilege of knowing and loving her, Mrs. Martin's life is hard to summarize in just a few short words. She faithfully served God throughout her long life and showed her faith in all she did. She loved and cared for her family and friends. Strong and independent, she was an accomplished athlete and quite a dancer, if you believe all the stories! She retired from Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. A native of the Baton Rougearea, she had most recently resided inMadison, Miss., where she could be near her only grandson, Aubrey Prince and his wife, Alicia, and their daughters, Emily and Molly. Also survived by a daughter, Dorothy Ann Coon; granddaughter, Robin Prince; and numerous nieces and nephews.
