Rosalie Cloy

Rose passed away early Sunday, October 15, 2023, at the age of 83. Originally from Lafayette, In., she spent most of her life in Baton Rouge, La. after serving in the Army. An avid reader, crocheter, and chocolate milk enthusiast, she was beloved by all who knew her and unwaveringly kind. She was a loving and supportive mother and Nana who will be sorely missed.

She is survived by her son Roy R. Cloy Jr.; grandchildren Andrea Cloy, Jacob Cloy, Madelynn (Jacob) Juge, and Grant Ellis; great-granddaughter Aubrey Paetz; siblings Martin (Cindy) Denham, Phillip (Lorna) Denham, Richard Denham, Jack (Linda) Denham, Janet (Don) McNeil, and Rebecca (Bill) Belting, along with nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded by her daughters Anita Cloy, Shelly Cloy, and Kelley Ellis; husband Roy Cloy Sr.; grandson Marc Cloy; sister Sonja Howard; brothers Fred Jacobs and Ronnie Denham; and her parents Beulah Denham and RT Howard.

A memorial will be held at Rabenhorst East (11000 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge) on Friday, October 20, 2023, at 6 p.m. with a service to follow at 7 p.m. Private graveside services will be held at Port Hudson National Cemetery. To view and sign the online guestbook, please visit www.rabenhorst.com
