Rose Mary Robin Darby

After a long, courageous battle with leukemia, Rose finally went to be with her Lord on Monday, March 29, 2010. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Rose was born in Opelousas on March 11, 1946. Visitation at St. Mary of False River Catholic Church, New Roads, on Wednesday, March 31, from 9:30 a.m. until funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Preceded in death by her parents, Evans Robin and Angela Robin; and brother, Gerald Robin. Rose is survived by her husband, Glenn Darby, New Roads; three daughters, Melanie D'Avy, Baton Rouge, Kim Kimble and husband Shannon Kimble, Ethel, and Allison Lang and husband Kenny Lang, St. Gabriel; and three granddaughters, Camerron Kimble, Taylor Lang and Ashley Lang; three stepdaughters, Melanie Hudman, Melissa Darby, and Robyn Breaux and husband Ernie; and stepson, Kevin Darby. She is also survived by two sisters, Shirley Moscovis, and Jeanie Miley and husband Gene Miley; brother, Jimmy Robin and wife Marjorie Robin; and sister-in-law, Isa Robin. Pallbearers will be Kenny Lang, Shannon Kimble, Michael Robin, Wayne Moscovis, Keith Robin, Johnny Robin, Denny Vicknair and Tommy Bryan. Rose was a member of St. Mary of False River Catholic Church and volunteered with St. Mary Church office and St. Vincent de Paul Store.
