Rose Mary Walker

On Oct. 12, 2008, after a lengthy battle with illnesses, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt peacefully closed her eyes with her loving husband by her side. Rose Mary was born July 29, 1942, in Slidell, was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge and resided in Maringouin for the past five years. Survived by her husband, Richard Walker, Maringouin; son, Chuck Walker and wife Lorraine, Florida; daughter, Charlene Braud and husband Kirk, Maringouin; daughter-in-law, Vicki Walker, Ohio; brother and sister-in-law, Milford and Linda Walker, Dutchtown; 11 grandchildren, Ashleigh and Kimberly Walker, both of Florida, Jessica, Kristin and Richelle Runnels, all of Maringouin, Jayson and Jayme Braud, both of Maringouin, Sammy and Tyler Walker, both of Ohio, Ryan Young, Florida, and Samantha Young, Alabama; and nephew, Eric Walker. Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by a son, Carlo Walker, who was of Baton Rouge; parents, Sam and Wallace Buzzetta, who were of Slidell; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ledet and Lois Walker, who were of Bogalusa. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Wednesday, Oct. 15, from 10 a.m. until service at 1 p.m. Burial in Port Hudson National Cemetery.
