Called "Rosie" by her family and friends, she made her mark in our community. Rosie earned her Juris Doctorate in May 1974 at LSU while raising her seven boys. As one of her grandsons so eloquently expressed, "If this woman can raise seven successful boys on her own while putting herself through law school, then I know I can quite literally achieve anything I want." Giving back to the community was an important part of Rosie's life. She was a dedicated Catholic and active in her Church. Rosie was a sustaining member of Junior League of Baton Rouge, a Phi Mu Sorority alum, and served as President on the Board of Woman's Hospital. Through the years, Rosie was active in the schools and parishes that her children and grandchildren attended. Rosie instilled values within all of her family that they will treasure for a lifetime. She was a great conversationalist whose interest in others was apparent through her attentiveness and thirst for knowledge. As one of her granddaughters so appropriately stated, "She lived fully - not perfectly or without heartache or sorrow "“ but she always did the best with what she had."
