Ruby Louise Lashute Moore

"A beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother died on Sunday, January 13, 2019 in her home at the age of 93. A resident of Baton Rouge since 1951, she was a native of Melville, La. She was the dedicated matriarch of her family of five children, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all those she served and nurtured. Visitation at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 445 Marquette Ave., from 9 a.m. until Mass at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2019. The Mass will be officiated by Rev. Clifton Hill. Entombment in Greenoaks Memorial Park Mausoleum following the service. Ruby is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, William David Moore, Jr.; parents Joseph and Josephine LaShute and ten brothers and sisters. She is survived by sister Kathryn Mocklin of New Orleans; son William D. "Chico" Moore III and his wife Ann, daughter Paula Moore, son James Anthony "Tony" Moore, daughter Tara Andrepont and daughter Michele Moore and spouse Maggie Falgout; eight grandchildren, Chelsea Fourrier and husband Brad, Benjamin Moore and wife Kristen, Casey Rayborn Hicks and husband Chris, Keith Andrepont and wife Tasha, Meagan Moore, Ryan Andrepont, and Maggie and Mason LaFerney; great-grandchildren Owen and Jack Fourrier, Lizzy and Benjamin Moore, Rory and Kaden Hicks and Sutton Andrepont. Pallbearers will be Michele Moore, Keith Andrepont, Ben Moore, Brad Fourrier, Troy Heard and Mason LaFerney. Honorary pallbearers are Herman Rayborn Jr., Chris Hicks and Jay Campbell. Special thanks to DeKisha Gibson, Beddie Johnson, all other caregivers and Amedisys Hospice staff.
