Thelma “Ruth” Bennett, native of Independence LA., and resident of Baton Rouge LA. passed away on January 23, 2014 at the age of 89. She was a member of Goodwood Blvd. Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who is survived by her daughter, Eddye Bennett Boeneke; her two sons, Harley Bennett and Billy Bennett and wife, Freida; grandchildren, Brittany Graffagnini and husband Ryan, Chase Boeneke and fiancé, Amanda Messer, and Katy Bennett; grandchildren by fate, Sean, Courtney, and Logan Hart; sister, Joan Jones; and brother, Edward Bennett. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edria W. Bennett; grandson, Craig Bennett; father, Ado Willie; mother, Ella Bennett Sitman; stepfather, Leon Bennett; and brother, S.H. Bennett. Visitation will be held on Monday January 27, 2014 at Greenoaks Funeral Home from 12PM until Funeral Service at 2PM. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Vincent Tumminello, St. Joseph Hospice, Pinnacle home health, and Carpenter House.
