Sara Elizabeth Petty Kenney 54, of Baton Rouge, died December 8th, 2015, at her home. She was born October 1, 1961 in Baton Rouge, to William Douglas Petty Sr., and Sarah Lou Murray Petty. She attended Istrouma High School in Baton Rouge, graduating with honors, and continued her education at both Louisiana Technical College and Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge campus. She enjoyed reading, watching the television show Jeopardy, caring for animals, dining out, and spending time with family. She is survived by her daughter, Lauren Kenney-Crowell (Jonathon) of Kent, Washington; brothers John Stephen Petty of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Jonathan David Petty of Denham Springs, Louisiana, and their spouses, as well several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her infant sister Roseanna Petty. She will be remembered by those who loved her as intelligent, kind, humorous and witty. At her request, her remains will be cremated, and no service will be held.
