A native of Baton Rouge, born on August 4, 1953, Susan passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Our Lady of the Lake hospital. She was 71, a beloved daughter, sister and friend to many. A hard-working accounting professional for the first part of her life, she then had to face the challenges and pitfalls that come with living with schizophrenia. “Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.” (Romans 12:15). To walk in the shoes of someone who lives with schizophrenia is a lesson for us all. She was the daughter of Louis and Pearl Gaudet, and the sister of Kevin James – all of whom preceded her in death. Survivors include her two brothers, Louis Michael and John Stephen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (nami.org). Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 9am until the time of memorial services at 10am.
