Terri Simoneaux Smart

Terri was a kind, loving, selfless person who loved to cook for family and friends. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her children and grandchildren. Terri loved the outdoors, especially bream fishing and riding around to check the cattle with her loving husband, Donald. She was an adamant member of Kedron Baptist Church where she was apart of the food committee, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She loved hosting gatherings with her family and friends for the holidays and special occasions. No matter the person, you could always depend on Terri to lend a helping hand. She loved to receive holiday cards and enjoyed sending cards for every occasion to her very long mailing list of children of family and friends. Terri was known for her sense of humor, her silly stories, and her corny jokes for the children. She was loved and cherished by many and will be deeply missed.

Preceded in death by her father Mervin J Simoneaux, Sr., sister, Merlyn Bourgeois and father in law, Carlton Smart.

Survived by her husband Donald Ray Smart of Kentwood, LA, children Kelli Freemyer (Randy) of Ethel, La, Casie Clark (Robert) of Rosepine, LA, and Donald Shelby Smart (Olivia) of Watson, LA, Mother Evelyn Simoneaux of Baton Rouge, LA, grandchildren Chalise Freemyer, Donalyn Freemyer, Alvin Freemyer, Raelyn Clark, Mark “Bo” Clark, Hoyt Clark, Dillon Smart, Avery Smart, Jacob Smart and a bonus grandchild Caroline Allen, siblings Dana Simoneaux (Phil), Joey Simoneaux (Sandy), Brent Simoneaux (Lona), and multiple nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, September 12, 2022 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Greenoaks Funeral Home. Services will be 12:00pm Monday, September 12, 2022 at Greenoaks Funeral Home with burial to follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be: Donald Shelby Smart, Randy Freemyer, Robert “Bobby” Clark, Alvin Freemyer, Cody Devall, and Darrell Ashford.
