Philippians 3:13-14. A carpenter and member of Local 1098, he died at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center as the result of a motorcycle accident on Sunday. He was 32, a resident of Denham Springs and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Thursday, Nov. 6, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes in the chapel on Friday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Bill Pruitt. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his wife of two years, Dara Owens Douglas, of Denham Springs; parents, Stanley and Jowanna Looper Douglas, of Baton Rouge; daughter, McKenna Hope Douglas; stepson, Matthew Carter Howell; sister and brother-in-law, Tracie Nicole and Bret DeLaune, of Denham Springs; two nephews, Kirkland and Carter Delaune; four aunts, three uncles and numerous cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Terry W. and Alice Douglas and James and Lessie Looper. Pallbearers will be Brad Grace, Bryan Grace, Will Owens, Chuck Chenevert, Greg Landry, James Riley, Robert Young and Terry McConnell. He was a member of Graceworks Church in Prairieville where he was involved with several groups within the church. Through his generosity, Terry donated several vital organs that have saved the lives of a number of people. His family wishes to offer many thanks to Our Lady of the Lake emergency room and critical care unit and the LOPA donor group for their gracious help during this difficult time.
