A resident and a native of Baton Rouge, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, at Our Lady of theLakeRegionalMedicalCenter. She was 75 and a former longtime resident of Gonzales. Visiting at St. Aloysius Catholic Church on Tuesday, Sept. 26, from 9 a.m.until religious service at 11 a.m.Interment inGreenoaksMemorial Park. Survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Martha Pugh Collins, Gonzales, and Steve and Pam Peterson Collins, Richmond, Texas; a sister, Stephanie Lawton Whitty and spouse Daryl; a brother, Dr. Sidney Lawton and spouse Cheryl, Baton Rouge; and five grandchildren, Tara Collins Peltier and spouse Dr. Robert, Thais Collins Perry and spouse Casey, Katy Collins, Erin Collins, and Eric Jarvis and spouse Alyson. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Caleb J. Mire.
