
A native of New Orleans, and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died Thursday, May 8, 2008, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet. He was 86, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired chemical engineer at Exxon. He is survived by his wife, Irene Breland Kruse, of Baton Rouge; two daughters and a son-in-law, Susan A. Kruse, of Baton Rouge, and Frances K. Killebrew, M.D., and her husband, Carrell, of Saratoga, Calif., and their children, Charlene, Daniel and Sandra Killebrew; and a stepdaughter, Janice Breland Meyer, of Baton Rouge. He was preceded in death by two wives, Katherine Scott Kruse and Kathleen Evans Kruse; a son, Theodore Francis Kruse; parents, Theodore J. Kruse Sr. and Mary Rediger Kruse; and a sister, Mary Frances Weisenburger. He enjoyed dancing, was a member of the Silver Strutters Dance Club and an avid LSU fan. He also enjoyed swimming and did so on numerous occasions in the Senior Olympics. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Wednesday, May 14, from 11 a.m. until 12:40 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 445 Marquette Ave., at 1 p.m., celebrated by the Rev. Miles Walsh. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul.
