Thomas F. C. Downey 89, died Tuesday, December 2, 2014. He was retired from Plantation Pipeline, and a resident and native of Baton Rouge. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, Friday December 5th, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will resume at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East Saturday, December 6th from 9:00 am until the religious service at 11:00 am in the chapel, conducted by the Rev. Michael Moroney. He is survived by his brother, Eldridge A. Downey Jr., numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends and family. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife: Margaret Popham Downey; parents: Eldridge A. Downey Sr.&Bertha Moore Pickens; stepfather: Francis A. Pickens. Honors: Knights of Columbus #3298 and American Legion Post #312. "He who fears the Lord will have a happy end, even on the day of his death he will be blessed"(Sir 1:11)
