Tracey Ann Kurz

Tracey Martin Kurz, 50, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on Tuesday July 13, 2010 after a yearlong battle with cancer. She was a loving wife, mother and sister. Tracey graduated from Belaire High School and worked for the State Times as a secretary. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Thursday July 15, 2010 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM and continuing at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church on Friday July 16, 2010 from 9:00AM until time of services at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Tracey is survived by her devoted husband of 23 years Kevin Kurz; her daughter Meghan Kurz; siblings: Fred Martin and wife Pam, Joan Martin Kosage and husband Ron, Lisa Hotard and husband Denise, and Sonia Moran and husband Tim; nieces and nephews: Amanda, Sophie and Claire Moran, Nicole Knott, Dylan Martin and Dustin Hinkle; and aunts and uncles: Ruby Boudreaux, Ann Ford, Charles LeBlanc, Maurice LeBlanc and Arthur LeBlanc. Tracey is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Mabel Martin. The family would like to thank Dr. Patrick Stagg and his staff, along with the 5th Floor West Wing nurses and the oncology department of Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center for their love and care for Tracey and especially all of Tracey’s friends who supported, encouraged and loved her through this past year. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tracey’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
