Vana Anita Davis, a homemaker, died on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008, at Lakewood Quarters Assisted Living. She was 91, a native of Reyno, Ark., and a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star in Richmond, Calif. Mrs. Davis will be remembered as a wonderful cook, devoted sister, loving mother, grandmother and great-grammy. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Wednesday, Sept. 10, from 9 a.m. until religious service in the chapel at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. S. Hunter Gray. Interment in Rolling Hills Cemetery, Richmond. Survivors include her son, Don Davis and wife Karen, of Baton Rouge; two granddaughters, Shaunna Landry and Jacelyn Gray; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don L. Davis; eight brothers and a sister. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
