Vergielean Couvillion

Vergie was born on August 21, 1941, in Marksville, Louisiana. As an only child, she was raised on and enjoyed the farm life. In school, she was a dedicated athlete with a passion for volleyball and basketball. Later in life, she married Nolan Couvillion and moved to Baton Rouge, where she worked as a secretary for Alpha Insurance Company. Her favorite pastimes included painting ceramics, celebrating Mardi Gras, visiting casinos, cooking Cajun cuisine, and making lasting memories with her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nolan Couvillion; her mother, Corrine Guillot; her father, Ervin Guillot; and her grandson, Brandon Harrell.

She is survived by her three loving children: Donna Couvillion, John Couvillion, and Paula Harrell (husband Kevin); her grandchildren: Bradley Harrell (wife Kaitlyn) and Rebecca Purwadana (husband IKetut); and her great-grandchildren: Elliana Berniard, Olivia Harrell, Jullian Purwadana, and Evelyn Harrell.

Vergie will be remembered especially for the love, passion, and fiery spirit she shared with everyone she met.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, from 10am until service at 2pm. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
