Vernon Dale Merchant, resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Passed away on Friday, June 3, 2016 at the age of 64 years old. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to may, he is survived by his wife, Christine Renaud Merchant and daughters, Scarlett and Katrina; son, Brandon; aunt, Dorothy; sisters, Connie Barnes and Enola Gay- Cooney; cousin, Pam; and numerous grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Malcom Fisher and Annie Merchant Fisher and brothers, Malcom Fisher and James Merchant. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, La., on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 5pm-7pm with a memorial service beginning at 6pm.
