Vivian Margretha Graf Auter, a resident of Baton Rouge, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010, at Ochsner Medical Center of Kenner. She was 98 and a native of Chicago. Mrs. Auter was a member of the First Christian Church and Baton Rouge Chapter 163 of O.E.S. and also a charter member of the Al-Azar (Imad) Grotto and Daughters of the Oasis. Visitation in the chapel of Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Friday, Sept. 24, was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with an Eastern Star service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation resumes in the chapel Saturday, Sept. 25, from 10 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. Survivors include a daughter, Jo Ann A. Stevenson; grandson, William Charles Auter Stevenson and his partner, Bruce Pizzolato; sister-in-law, Ann Auter; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, William Richard Auter; and mother, Loretta Kane. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
