
He was a retired administration manager for IBM with 40 years of service. After retiring from IBM, he sold real estate for 10 years. Frank died at 5:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 75, a native of Griffin, Ga., and a resident of Baton Rouge. Visitation will be held at Broadmoor United Methodist Church on Saturday, Jan. 15, from noon until the religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Fred Wideman. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jenola Googe Duke; children and their spouses, Keith and Josie Duke, Michael and Cathy Duke, and Amy and Steve Starnes; sister, Edith Duke Gann; grandchildren, Michael, Lauren, Amanda and Joshua Duke, Shelby, Davis and Cameron Duke, Stuart and Charlie Starnes; nieces, Jenny and husband Greg Whitaker, and Susan Dadich; great-nieces and great-nephews, Rachel and husband Dennis Willoughby, Justin Whitaker and Brian Dadich; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Mary Catherine Googe and Sue and Ron Berry. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Cleo Rivers Duke; and a brother-in-law, Harold Gann. He was a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church and a longtime usher with the church. He sang in the Saints Alive Choir and was a member of the Red Stick Kiwanis Club. Memorial donations may be made to Broadmoor United Methodist Church. Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., is in charge of arrangements.
