W. Charles Henderson

"Wade "Charles" Henderson, Jr., A native of New Orleans, LA and lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, he passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017 at the age of 75. He was a graduate of Woodlawn High School and in the floral industry for over 45 years. Charles had and incredible sense of humor, a loving kind spirit, and a great affection for his family and friends. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Charles is loved by his wife, Carol Ann Smith Henderson; son, Wade; his daughters Elly, Monica, and Lynn; grandson Chase; brother, Dr. Robert W. Smith; and sister Catherine S. Temple. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wade Charles Henderson, Sr. and Eleanor Saxon Henderson. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home (825 Government Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802) on Saturday, June 24, 2017 beginning at 10am until the funeral service at 1pm officiated by Dr. Michael W. Howes and Dr. Terry Ellis. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.  Pallbearers will be Wade C. Henderson. III., Wade "Chase" Charles Henderson, IV. Eleanor "Elly" Warnke Henderson, Dr. Michael W. Howes, Dr. Robert W. Smith, and Peachie Landry.  A special thanks to long term friend and physician John Prestigiacomo, MD, Jeffery Hyde, MD., nurse and caregiver Sandra Fast, and prayer warrior Betty Banks.
