
Bill Spencer, 55, died unexpectedly Monday, July 9, 2007, at his home in Jarreau. He was born in Greenwood, Miss., on Jan. 22, 1952. He moved to Baton Rouge as a child and graduated from Baton Rouge High School. For many years, he worked as a salesman at Sears, then at Cooper Marine and lastly at Twin Gulf in New Roads. He was an avid hunter and had many trophies to show for it. He loved to fish with his son, Will, and enjoyed watching him play soccer. He was a special friend to many and was generous in giving his time to help others. He leaves behind his loving wife, Jeannie, and the joy of his life, his son, Will. He is also survived by his mother, Mable Spencer; sister and brother-in-law, Lola and Russell Faust; mother-in-law, Wanda Polozola; sisters-in-law and their spouses, Susan and Don Webb, and Elaine Polozola and Gerald Powell; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William A. Spencer Sr.; and sisters, Patsy Coker and Jo Sanders. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Wednesday, July 11, was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 a.m. until service at 1 p.m., conducted by Brother Ken Carroll. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. His son awaits the day in heaven when he can once again say, "Glad to see you, Dad."
