

A native of Jayess, MS, and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA was born April 5, 1918 and passed away April 7, 2014, two days after his 96th birthday. He retired from Exxon Refinery Mechanical Service as a pipefitter with 38 years of service. He was a former member of the ODD Fellows, Istrouma #4, I.O.O.F. and Trinity Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Cherie McLin Reeves; daughter, Maxine Reeves Paille and husband, Ronald Sr; son, William “Bill” Hollis Reeves, Jr; step son, Randall McLin; grandchildren, Shuntel Paille Beach and husband, Brandon, Ronald J. “Joey” Paille; Kevin Reeves and wife, Sharon, and Chad Reeves and wife, Barbara; and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his former wife of 52 years, Charline Brister Reeves; parents, John A. and Rettie A. Reeves; daughter in law, Irene M. Reeves; granddaughter, Cherie’ Reeves Holland; step daughter, Cheryl Doiga; two brothers and four sisters. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Thursday, April 10, 2014, from 11 AM until funeral service at 2 PM conducted by Father Joseph from St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. The family would like to give a special thanks to two of the most generous and loving caregivers.
