

Many are the women of proven worth but you have excelled them all. Proverbs Chapter 31, verse 29. Willie Belle Duff Milton, born August 29, 1916, has entered the gates of heaven to reunite with her husband, Woodrow Wilson Milton who passed away during World War II. She reared her three children Sonja Ray Milton Peterson, William Carter Milton and George Norwood Milton with dignity and love. We celebrate her humility, fortitude and endurance of living through trying times of depression and war as a single mother, all while instilling values to be passed on to future generations. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Walter Duff and Ellen McLin Duff; her siblings, Maythel Averett, Walter Duff and LaVerne Cop; son, William Carter Milton and son-in-law, Louis L Peterson. She is survived by one sister, Alice Duff Smith of Baytown, TX; daughter, Sonja Ray Peterson of Baton Rouge; son and daughter- in-law, George Norwood and Faye Arceneaux Milton of St. Francisville; and daughter- in- law, Faye Lewis Milton of Baton Rouge. Her legacy encompasses seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and six great, great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Kirk Peterson, Brandon Peterson, Adam Peterson, Kacey Peterson, Cliff Milton, Lee Milton, Brett Milton and Blake Milton. To commemorate her legacy we will join together for visitation on November 22, 2013 at 9 o'clock at Rabenhorst East, 11000 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA. Funeral service will begin at 11:30, conducted by Rev. Linda Hagan. Burial to follow at Baton Rouge National Cemetery,220 N 19th St, Baton Rouge, LA.
