Yvonne Hughes Annis

Yvonne Hughes Annis was born on February 9th, 1929 in New Orleans, LA., and she passed away on December 5th, 2022. Predeceased in death by her husband, Benjamin Gray Annis, her parents, William & Carmelite Hughes, her sisters, Geraldine Jones and Patricia Swartz, and her brothers, William Hughes Jr. and Malcolm Hughes. She is survived by her brother, Raymond P. Hughes, by her daughters, Vicki Baker (Talmadge) and Pamela Gray, and by her sons, Robert Annis (Maria) and Caroll Bradford Annis (Norme). Her grandchildren include Matthew Annis, Sean Williams (Justine), Jenny Catoe (Stephen), William Mouille (Meredith), Eric Annis (Jen), Katie Karwan (Dan), Christopher Bradford (Madison), and 8 great-grandchildren. Yvonne retired from Louisiana state employment at age 80 after 40 years of service. As a state employee, she worked at the Motor Vehicle Department, the Land and Natural Resources, and the Department of Agriculture and Forestry. Yvonne loved fishing with her husband, gardening, and feeding people. She will be missed by her loved ones. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home Downtown, Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am with the funeral service starting at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Rabenhorst Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
