Adrienne accomplished many fantastic things during her time on Earth. She was a graduate of Chicago Vocational High School and then attended Olive-Harvey College (Chicago, IL). After later relocating to Las Vegas, NV, where she met her beloved husband, Steve, she then attended Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Los Angeles, CA. Adrienne took great pride in cooking with heart for her many family members and friends. Her magical culinary skills and entrepreneurial savvy led her to build a successful business in Lake Charles, LA under the name of Taylor-Made Cookies and Catering, where she was affectionately known as the “Cookie Lady.”
She was an active member in both community service and civil rights organizations. She served on the Board of Directors and on the Membership Committee for Kiwanis Club of North Lake Charles which is dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. She was also very active in the Lake Charles branch the NAACP. And with great fervor, Adrienne was a long-time member of a 12-step program and was of beneficial service to many whom she encountered.
Her cheerful personality made her a pure joy to be around! Her love of God drew many people close to her as it was clearly displayed through her sharing in fellowship, life changing faith, and prayer. To know Adrienne was to laugh heartily and often. And, you knew you were loved by her if you called her family or friend – her affection, concern, and delight in you could not have been more genuine.
It brought her great joy to stroll along the Gulf of Mexico in Galveston, TX with her husband Steve. This, and a fountain of other precious pastimes, brought Adrienne the highest degree of happiness in her lifetime. These memories shall linger on, like her unique legacy, in the hearts and minds of all whom she influenced and inspired.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Stevan Braswell of Lake Charles, LA; mother, Frankye Taylor of Bowie, MD; brother, Frederick Taylor (Irish) of South Holland, IL; sister, Dorienne Taylor-Bishop (David) of Bowie, MD; half-sister, Alexandra Taylor of Chicago, IL; sister-in-law, Marsha Braswell of Winnfield, LA; four nephews, DJ Bishop of Bowie; MD, Jamal Taylor of Chicago Heights, IL; Sean Tyler of Seattle, WA; and Joshua Tyler of Chicago, IL; niece, Taylor Bishop of Bowie, MD; cousins, Tina Horton (Tony) and Joslyn Jennings, both of Chicago, IL; goddaughter, Sherell Payne-Annang of Atlanta, GA; three godsons, Josh and James Wood of Austin, TX and Jarrell Wood of Washington, DC; and a host of extended family and dear, long-time friends of many years.

When I think of you, which is 24/7, I think of looking into your beautiful brown eyes and seeing you smiling at me. I lived to look into those eyes.
I feel the love you had for me and it lifted me to unimaginable heights to know that someone could love me that much. Thank you for your love and for always cooking those delicious healthy meals for me.
You are the love of my life and I will love you forever
Dear A:
To write this letter is the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but it’s important for me to do so.
I am going to miss hearing you say, “Hi Frank” when I answer your call. I am going to miss you always telling me how much you love me. I’m going to miss spending the month of January every year with you and Steve. You were so adamant about me staying the full 30 days. While visiting with you, it brought me so much joy when you would crawl in my bed, and we would watch some of my favorite programs on television, such as American Ninja Warrior, etc. This I will miss. I will miss your hearty laugh, too.
Adrienne, remember our trip to China and how much fun we had? What a fantastic experience!
Thank you, A, for the joy and happiness you brought to my life. I am so proud of you.
In my heart, you leaving me is not how it was supposed to be. But God knows best. I know you are in His hands, and I pray that He will give me the strength to move forward, and that the hurt in my heart will subside.
I will love you forever and always…
Rest In Peace, my precious
-Mom
Woman of Grace
My sister Adrienne Taylor was a woman of grace great dignity and pride …
she was supportive full of Love and would always stand by your side.
She was a woman of strength and endurance never letting weakness in, she worked hard to be an example even to the end.
Adrienne was a fighter but did not create war, her fight was for life and the ability to do more.
She was smart, intelligent, and full of love. She shared it with everyone she loved.
What I loved most about this child of God is that she loved her family with all her heart.
She was patient, kind, and loving; sweet as could be and when it came to her husband, Steve she was always where she needed to be.
She accomplished many great things on her journey of life. She built a Taylor Made business through her hard work and sacrifice.
She was so strong willed and determined to win and she kept doing it again and again.
There are no words left that I can say except we will miss you AT and we thank you for coming our way.
You blessed us all with hugs that could heal and a spirit of goodness that will last throughout the years.
Now that you’re gone we feel sad and blue but know my darling sweet sister that there will never ever be another sister Like you…

Tributes
Brother: Fred Taylor
When I think back on some of the things we did as youths, they make me smile and make me sad at the same time. I remember you teaching me to do a dance called the Bop in our living room. You were the first person to call me Fred. I was always Frederick to mom and dad. Since there were only us two for 9 years, we were like two peas in a pod. Thank you for your love and friendship. I will always keep you in my heart.
Sister: Dorienne Taylor-Bishop
As your baby sister, I always knew I could depend on you for whatever I needed. You were my sounding board when mom didn’t see things my way, my confidant, and my secret keeper. I will always remember you walking me to the park, pushing me on the swings until my feet went high to the sky. We laughed at each other as we baked lemon cake, you licked the bowl, and I licked the spoon. I blushed at the way you proudly introduced me as your baby sister with such love in your voice and a twinkle in your eyes as only a big sister could. You always kept me from harms way. The day I was born; you became a sister. The day you departed; you became my guardian angel.
Sister: Alexandra Taylor
Sis, I love and miss you tremendously. You know we’re both Aries. Both fun loving and serious when needed. I miss calling you and your calls to me. Thank you for all you’ve done. There are no words to describe about our relationship.
