Alfonso had a career in Teaching for Goose Creek School District. He enjoyed reading, writing, art, movies, and gambling.
He was preceded in death by his wife Evangelina Peña; his brother, George C. Peña; and by his parents, Alfonso Huerta Peña and Maria Salome Peña.
Alfonso is survived by his sons, Alfonso Javier Peña and Jaime Andres Peña; brother, Oscar C. Peña (Debbie); sisters, Linda Munoz and Mary Escobedo (Eliseo); sister-in-law, Mary Peña, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5-8 pm, Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, Texas 77521, with a rosary service to begin at 7 pm. Funeral service will be held at 10 am, Friday, May 16, 2025, at Navarre Funeral Home Chapel. Committal will follow at 11:30 am at Cedarcrest Cemetery, 3010 Ferry Road, Baytown, Texas 77520.
