Alton Homer Jenkins

Alton Homer “Turk” Jenkins, 71, of Highlands, Texas, passed away unexpectedly, on Monday, August 4, 2025, at his residence. He was born on December 21, 1953, in Waco, Texas, to Marvin Thomas Jenkins and the late Shirley Jean Pace Riley.

Alton enjoyed riding his Harley’s and going fishing. He could often be found tinkering on one of his trucks. Alton would tear the truck down and put it back together just to have something to do. Alton made his career as a mechanic specializing in radiators.

Alton was preceded in death by his mother Shirley; his sons Alton Jenkins, Jr., and John Jenkins; his brother Jerry Jenkins; and his nephews Gerald Ryno and Robert Rounsvall. He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his father Marvin; his children Bud Jenkins and wife Misti, and Dixie Jenkins; his grandchildren Emalee Jenkins, Carson Jenkins, Colt Jenkins, Tallon Jenkins, Reuben Gonzalez, Matthew Brooks, Sara Russell, Alex Jenkins and Gracie Jenkins; his great-grandsons Gunner Gonzalez, and soon to arrive Hudson Brooks; his siblings Dale Jenkins and wife Jackie, Kathy Ryno and husband Jimmy, Shirley Ashby and husband Clint, and Debbie Tullos.

Although Alton may no longer be here, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
