

Antonio Garcia Ortiz, 83, of Baytown, was born on June 17, 1927, and passed away on Friday, Feb. 18, 2011. He was born in Nueva Rosita, Mexico and has been a resident of Baytown for the last 63 years. He was a local businessman that owned and operated Ortiz Drywall Contractor and also a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Antonio was a loving and caring father, husband, friend and a super grandfather. His many friends will greatly miss him. Antonio loved to travel and had a passion for music. He was a great humanitarian, always willing to help and saw the best in everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Paula Ortiz.
He is survived by his wife Maria; six sons, Antonio Garcia Jr. and wife Caroline of Baytown, TX, Ignacio Garcia and wife Anna of Baytown, TX, Richard Garcia of Baytown, TX, Lionel Garcia and wife Brenda of San Antonio, TX, Joe Freddie Garcia of Baytown, TX and Efrain Garcia and wife Lupe of Baytown, TX; one sister, Feliciana Cebellos of Mexico; grandchildren, Edward Garcia and wife Cristina, Miranda Garcia, JoAnna Martinez and husband Roland, Jennifer Garcia, Alysha Flood and husband Matt, Amanda Garcia, Leigh Garcia, Laura Boring and husband Ross, Jessica Garcia, Brian Garcia and wife Raquel, Cynthia Garcia, Andrew Garcia, Christopher Garcia, Jeremey Garcia, Richard Garcia; and great grandchildren, Railey Garcia, Kayla Garcia, Ava Marie Flood and John Ross Boring.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Chris Hays and Dr. Jacobo Nurko and also an extended special thank you to the nurses from ICU, SICU and IMU at San Jacinto Hospital.
