Barbara Grant Elliott

Barbara Grant Elliott, 79, of Baytown was born October 13, 1931 in Baytown and passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2011 in a local healthcare facility. She was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and attended Lee College. She retired from GTE with 35 years of service. She was a member of the Goose Creek Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #798.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mildred Grant and daughter, Lynn Elliott. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Royce Self of Quincy, IL; sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Burke Murdock of Palestine; brother, Dean Grant of Highlands; grandchildren, Stacey and Jason Galle of Baytown, Jason and Heather Self of Quincy, IL, and Alexandra Self of New York City, NY; and great grandchildren, Nichole and Erin Russell and Ava Galle.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be Saturday May 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston with Rev. Eddie Norris officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Self, Jason Galle, Erin Russell, Johnny Ellis, and Royce Self.
