Ben Leonard ""Buck Lansford, Jr.

Ben Leonard ""Buck"" Lansford, Jr. 89, of Baytown, passed away Thursday, February, 7, 2008 in a local hospital. Buck was born on April 16, 1918 to Ben Leonard Lansford, Sr. and Annie Robinson Lansford in Carrizo Springs, TX. He was a 1936 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and attended Lee College and retired from Exxon after 39 ½ years of service. He proudly served in the Army during WW II as a Military Policeman, 9th Infantry Division in the European Theater. He was a rock hound who enjoyed woodcarving, making jewelry, tooling leather, racehorses and fishing.

Buck was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Evelyn Fitzgerald Lansford and Margie Harris Lansford; and sister, Ellen Parnell. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Joyce Lansford of Houston and Bennie and Rita Lansford of Beach City; grandchildren, Lisa Jones and husband Dane of Beach City, Sydney Michelle Lansford of Houston, Brent Lansford and wife Kim of Beach City and Dustin Lansford of Baytown; great grandchildren, Mattie Lansford of Beach City, Cody Robison of Beach City, Mason Michalsky of Beach City, Ty Jones of Beach City, Ben Alexander Lansford of Beach City and Reagan Lansford of Baytown; very special friend, Charles Dyer of Mont Belvieu; and numerous other relatives and friends.

His family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Sunday, February 10, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mont Belvieu Methodist Cemetery with Rev. Carroll Lansford officiating.
