Beverly Duke-Stone

Beverly Duke-Stone, 65, of Mont Belvieu, Texas, was called home by her Lord and Savior on June 19, 2013. She was surrounded by her husband, Rick, her children, Bryan, Chris and Misty, and many more life-long and church family and friends.

Beverly was born in Baytown, Texas on February 6, 1948. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown in 1966 and worked at Exxon-Mobil for 25 years.

Beverly met her soul mate, Rick Stone, in January 2007; they married on April 28, 2012.

Beverly dedicated her life to her Lord and Savior and spent her time providing for and serving others. She raised and was very proud of her two sons and their wives, and she absolutely doted on her grandchildren. Beverly volunteered endless hours of her life to help others by working with the United Way, Relay for Life, Meals on Wheels and recently the Eagle Heights Church's Quilt Ministry. Her love and presence will be as everlasting as her place in heaven.

Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, Melton Edward and Vera Maureen Hobbs.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Rick Stone; her sons and daughters-in-law, Chris & Misty Duke and Bryan & Dana Duke; eight grandchildren, Kaylee, Abigayle and Madalynn Duke, Bryson and Allie Duke, Macen James, and Matthew and Miranda Webb; her brother and sister, Michael Hobbs and Jan Chapman; and many other family members, friends, and church family.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 21 at Navarre Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 22 at Eagle Heights Church in Mont Belvieu, Texas. A private burial will occur on Monday. Pastor Scott Neal will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Meals on Wheels or the Eagle Eights Church Homeless Ministry, 14120 Highway 146, Dayton, TX 77535. The family would like to express its heartfelt gratitude to the Eagle Heights Church family for their support and prayers during this time.
