

Brenda was born to John Milton Cooper and Bennie Lee Norwood, December 8th, 1940, in DeQueen, Arkansas. She graduated from DeQueen High School and received a History degree from Southern
Arkansas University and a Masters degree in History from Arizona State University.
She is survived by: son and daughter-in-law Monte and Kayla Logan, nieces Vicki Harville Spratlen and Carrie Cooper, nephews Mark Harville and Alan James “Jim” Harville. She also leaves to cherish her memory grandnieces Jenna Brock, Lindsey Rowell, Brenna Plante, Isabel Harville, grandnephews Bennett Plante and Ty Harville, great grandnephews Rowan Brock, Tennyson Brock, and Sam Rowell, and great grandnieces Cora Brock and Isla Rowell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Dan Cooper, (brothers), Jimna Love Craig, (sister) and her uncle, Forgy Norwood.
Brenda worked as a professor of American History for Lee College in Baytown for 35 years, where many life-long friendships were developed. Brenda had a special project of documenting the experiences of World War II veterans from Baytown and surrounding areas. She was a member of First Christian Church of Baytown. Brenda enjoyed history, genealogy, music, sports, playing bridge, and reading and watching mysteries. She was an avid fan of the Texans, Astros and all Arkansas Razorback teams. She loved her home state of Arkansas, Elvis Presley, and Sunny, her Pekingese.
A Memorial Service will be held on February 24th, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521.
