

Charles Walter Coleman, 67, of Baytown, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 18, 2017. He was a 1967 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in which he served as band president.
He was a member of Cedar Bayou Baptist Church in Baytown. One of his greatest joys in life was playing his trumpet in various civic and church orchestras. He also enjoyed Boy Scouts, surfing, sailing, cycling, tennis and computers. He was widely-traveled throughout the states during his career as a computer programs and systems analyst and highly prized for his capacity to fully invest in his work with his energetic personality.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, W. M. Coleman.
He is survived by his daughter, Laura and her husband, James Lofton; son, Kevin Coleman; granddaughter, Kellis Lofton; parents, Joe and Sylvia Dreyer; sister, Deborah and husband, Gary Hood; sister, Alicia Almanza and several nieces and nephews.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Sunday, January 22, 2017 with a memorial service to begin at 2:30 p.m. with Dr. Mark Broussard officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Baytown Symphony Orchestra at PO Box 2217 Baytown, TX 77522 or to the charity of your choice.
