Charlotte Young Murch was born May 22, 1927, to Doris and Edward Young in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. After graduating from Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa, she moved to Corpus Christi and received her Masters from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
Charlotte become an educator and coach for CCISD until her retirement. After retirement she was often found volunteering at St. Lukes Methodist Church, Loaves and Fishes, and the South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center. She loved the outdoors and bird watching. She advocated using native Texas plants for landscaping and enjoyed meeting with friends in her backyard water garden.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ed and Doris Young and sister, Jean Young.
She is survived by a sister, Phyllis Hinrichs; daughter, Phyllis Davis; sons, Sam Murch and wife Martha, Mike Murch and wife Frances, Charles Murch and Steve Murch; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.
