

Cipriano Garcia, 92, of Baytown Texas went to be with the Lord on Oct. 7, 2017, with his loving wife Mary Garcia of 30 years at his bedside. He was born on Sept. 3, 1925 in Cotulla Texas. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Beatrice Flores along with 3 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by his four sons, Anthony, Joe and Mark Garcia of California and Juan Garcia along with 11 step children of Baytown, TX. He served in WW2 as PFC “Blackie” 309 infantry in Berlin, Germany from 1943 to 1946 where he earned several medals. After an honorable discharge he returned to the States and worked as a welder for over 35 years. He spent his retirement years sitting on the porch with his hot cup of coffee being a self-proclaimed handyman and talking war days with the grandkids.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rudy Maldonado, Peter Maldonado George Maldonado, Fabian Maldonado, John Hagberg and Victor Rodriguez. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Rodriguez, Tommy Balero III, Javier Bejarano, Armando Sustaita, Carlos Ortiz, Christopher Maldonado, Miguel Maldonado and Krispin Rodriguez.
Viewing will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with rosary at 7:00p.m at Earthman Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Earthman Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
