

Born April 29, 1935, in Coady, Texas, he lived most of his life in Baytown, Texas. Sometime after graduating from Robert E. Lee High School in 1953, Dalton joined the United States Army and served 9 faithful years. He was proud of his military service to his country. After his military life, he returned to Baytown and worked at Solvay Chemicals as an Operator and retired after 25 years.
Dalton will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his love for the Lord, and his desire to spread the gospel. He had a very encouraging and loving nature and helped those around him in any way he could. He was happiest when at church and was actively attending Maranatha Church in Mont Belvieu, Texas, at the time of his passing.
He is survived by his children, Linda Davis, Kathleen Reynolds, James Woods, and Kenneth Michael Woods; his grandchildren, Kimberly Winn, Carla Vaughn, Linda Smith, and Crystal Cory; his great-grandchildren, Courtney, Shelby, Gavin, Amber, William Jack, Hunter, Carson; a great great-grandchild, Brayden; and his brother Kenneth Woods. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Morris.
The family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home in Baytown on Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow in White Cemetery in Highlands. Rev. Mark Trice will officiate.
Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Billy Vaughn, Gavin Vaughn, James Lee Tilotta, Juan Salazar, Mark Sommers and James Woods.
