

Damon Dee Miller, Sr., 67, of Baytown, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010 in Houston. He was born May 24, 1943 in Goose Creek to parents, Cleburne Wells Miller and Lorene Work Miller and has lived in the Baytown area all of his life.
Damon was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army and in the 36th Airborne Brigade. He graduated from Channelview High School in 1963, was a union carpenter and a master carpenter and enjoyed horseback riding, camping and fishing with his wife and spending time with family.
He is survived by his wife, Joanna Gail ""Susie"" Miller of Baytown; children, Janica Gail Holcomb and her husband Todd of Baytown, Damon D. Wayne Miller of Webster and Curtis Earl Miller of Baytown; brothers, Charles Dwayne Miller and his wife Rosetta of Amarillo and Verlan Gene Miller of Baytown and a granddaughter, Brandy Gayle Holcomb of Baytown.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 20, 2010 at Navarre Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Thrash and Rev. Mark Stafford officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Damon D. Wayne Miller, Curtis Earl Miller, Larry D. Thrash, Todd Holcomb, Russell Holcomb and Justin Stasney. Honorary pallbearer will be Andrew Thrash.
